Originally called the Pioneers, the Nashville Christian student body chose to change the school mascot to the Eagle while keeping the original orange and navy blue school colors. Soon after the school was established, plans began to be made for a facility to be located on Sawyer Brown Road. In September 1976, former headmaster Daryl Demonbreun led 418 students and 29 faculty and staff members into the school's first permanent facility. During this year of many milestones, the athletic teams began their participation at the varsity level and NCS celebrated the commencement of its first 22 graduates. |

CA knows that Nashville Christian has had a tough year and is very hungry to end the season on a winning note. They will prepare for the unexpected as The Eagles will likely throw anything and everything with the exception of the kitchen sink. Offensively CA will have to continue to do on offense what they have done all season...mix up the formations and mix up the pass-run combinations. Look for a 60-40 % running vs. passing. They will have to stop the Eagle Ground attack with Slater, Gray, and McWright posing the immediate threats and force NCS into turnovers. |

Keys to a NCS Victory: Simple this week. Must
extinguish the losing streak and end the season on a positive note.
This is the last chance and its on the road. Eagles offensively have
got to take care of the ball and not shoot themselves in the foot.
Line will have to control their side of the ball, while the NCS backs find
the holes and hit them hard..mix in some timely passing to keep CA honest.
Defensively, backers and secondary will have to make tackles and some plays
and force some turnovers. They will have to keep the CA QB in check as
he can hurt you with his arm and legs. Flannigan and the special teams
must have a good game. Need special teams to cover kickoffs and punts. Michael Gray, Mike Moore, Jeffrey Garrison, Max McWright,
Jake Johnson, Sam Cooper, Jeffrey Patton, Dallas Slater, and
Josh Edwards |
